NFC Media Release for the 2003 season

The Northern Football Conference prepares to celebrate its 50th season in 2003 with the release of the League's schedule for the upcoming season.

With the addition of the Tri City Outlaws (based in Kitchener) as the League's 11th team, teams will play an 8 game schedule starting on Saturday May 31st. The regular season concludes on Saturday July 26th. One team has been added to the playoffs as the quarter finals (August 2nd) will see 2nd place through 7th playoff with the 1st place finishers advancing to the semi finals on August 9th. The battle for the Plaunt Memorial Trophy takes place on Saturday August 16th.

Highlights in the schedule include the annual Hall of Fame Game which will be played Saturday June 21st in Sudbury when the Spartans host the Oakville Longhorns. The Hall welcomes 6 new inductees in 2003 and further information on these individuals will be forwarded in May.

There will also be several events celebrating the League's Silver Anniversary season as well.
